After a few months of planning, preparation, and getting hold of some members of the Class of 1962, the much awaited reunion finally came through. There were all in all 16 classmates who came from different parts of the United States and assembled at Fort Lauderdale in Florida on the 19th of May, 2007.
Fort Lauderdale was the embarkation point for the 7-day eastern Caribbean cruise on board the Caribbean Princess, which the classmates were all looking forward to for their much awaited reunion.
It was a very memorable gathering for most of the classmates who have not seen each other since graduating from the Baguio General Hospital School of Nursing some 45 years ago. At that time they were just about 20 to 21 years of age, single, and still inexperienced nursing graduates ... and now they are senior citizens, grandmothers, and professional nurses who have, after all these years, excelled in their chosen profession and just about to retire.

Evelyn Garcia-Manese painstakingly planned out the reunion and her 15 classmates were all very grateful and thankful for her efforts in seeing to it that the gathering would be a successful and memorable one as well. A few days after the reunion, Evelyn sent out letters to her classmates and wrote: "My thanks to all of you for making our reunion cruise the fun-filled and memorable event that it was. My husband Will and I have gone on several holidays before, some on cruise ships like the Caribbean Princess, but there was something different and special about our reunion cruise. The pictures that we took and the memories that they evoke are all reflections of times we do not want to forget - we will treasure these for many years to come."
Evelyn further wrote, "We miss the live performances at the Princess theatre, the elegance of the afternoon high tea, the dance lessons, hopping and dancing among the ship's many lounges and listening to the sound of the steel drum Reggae music. I also enjoyed the ship's casino where I tried my beginner's luck, the shopping at St. Maarten and St. Thomas for Caribbean bling-blings, the beaches and water sports at Princess Cays, the lively sharing of stories and jokes at the Palm Dining Room, and the occasional unplanned get-togethers for snack at the Horizon Court. I have to reiterate the wonderful moments we had during the two formal evenings when we all got dressed to the nines (with more flash and splashes than Las Vegas) for professional photographs at the Atrium staircase and my appreciation for the lovely present that all of you gave me."
