THE CARIBBEAN PRINCESS

The Caribbean Princess, which entered service in 2004, is referred to as the "Grand Daddy" of the Princess fleet. The ship, with its 900 balcony staterooms and an entire deck of mini-suites, is reputed to have the largest carrying capacity. It comes in at a heftier 113,00-tons and can accommodate as much as 3100 passengers. It has multiple dining venues, four expansive outdoor deck areas, multiple sports facilities, four pools, and nine hot tubs such that passengers are rarely concentrated in any one area.

Caribbean Princess was the first Princess ship to offer "Movies Under the Stars," a huge flat panel projection screen showing near first-run films outdoors next to the pool. This was such a hit that the concept has been spread to other large Princess ships sailing in the Caribbean. Having offered the first wedding chapel at sea, the Caribbean Princess now also features a complete professional digital photography studio in the Photo Center for those all-important wedding and formal dinner photos. And it has a medical center which is one of the most advanced at sea.

Cabins are built out from the body of the ship so as to permit bigger staterooms. It has staterooms that have balconies, ranging up to 257 sq. feet. Standard inside staterooms are 160 sq. ft., while outside cabins range from 168 to 210 sq. feet. All staterooms have color TV with CNN and movies, a radio and small refrigerator, and bathrooms with storage space and hair dryers.

Passengers could spoil themselves on the Caribbean Princess with its state of the art facilities. You could dine at your own time and there is no hurry what so ever. You could choose from Traditional Dining, Anytime Dining, Specialty Dining or Casual Dining. The ship offers a lot of entertainment. The evenings and late nights are always abuzz with activity, from live theatre and a big screen, to plush lounges, swanky casinos and dance clubs. During the day time you could opt for personal enrichment classes or do yoga or indulge in shopping from the duty-free stores. You could also take a dip in the pool or relax at the spa. There are special teen's programs on board as well for them to enjoy.
